While Bernie and Marilyn Nichols never attended school together, they share a heritage of Christian education. Marilyn graduated from Â鶹avÓ³»­´«Ã½ in 1957, and Bernie attended Berry, a Christian college in Georgia. They have returned to their roots in several ways. After retiring as a vice president for Control Data Corporation, Bernie spent three years as alumni director at Berry. Two years ago, Marilyn became the catalog librarian at the Â鶹avÓ³»­´«Ã½ library where she worked as a student. Believing that Christian education has high value, they have provided for both Â鶹avÓ³»­´«Ã½ and Berry in their will. Their planned giving and commitment to educating Christian leaders typifies members of the Wallace Emerson Society.
