For the sixth straight year, the Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½ Fund has reached its goal. Thanks to generous donations from alumni, parents, friends, and foundations, the college raised nearly $1.8 million in annual giving during the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2001.

“It’s encouraging to see the level of support for the Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½ Fund gifts continue to be strong,†says Steve Baker ’84, vice president for development. “Annual giving is the foundation of our fund-raising program, and we greatly appreciate the response we have received from the college’s constituency.â€

While the number of alumni donors grew by six percent, the college continues to seek an increase in the alumni giving rate. Overall, 25.5 percent of alumni supported Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½ financially, with 33.5 percent of graduates making gifts. The alumni giving rate is one statistic used to rank the quality of Â鶹avÓ³»´«Ã½â€™s program in publications such as U.S. News & World Report.
